Questa trascrizione è basata esclusivamente su due manoscritti autografi per canto e pianoforte di Michele Novaro, ovvero quello custodito presso l'Istituto Mazziniano di Genova datato 5 Dicembre 1847 e quello conservato nel Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento Italiano di Torino che, pur non avendo una data precisa, recando la frase Quest’inno fu da me composto verso la fine dell’anno 1847 sembra essere postumo rispetto al precedente.
